I've spent my life
chasing
the shadow of a cloud.
Finding
what this world
never intended
to be found.
I thought the answers were in
words
whispers
swept into oceans and
drenched in rain.
That I could live
my life
through another's
joys
and
loves
and
pains.
I thought
forever
was forever
and tomorrow
couldn't come.
I wasted my time in shadows
when I could have
felt the sun.
